vision of softedgez - what makes jewelry queer?

softedgez is queer jewelry philosophy made real – taking the dualities inside me and melting them into one new creation. the nature escape i crave from berlin concrete doesn't fight the diverse culture and city nights that pull me back. they bleed into each other. feminine doesn't sit next to masculine, softness not next to edge – it becomes spiky metal frames that are both at once. sweet fairycore creatures aren't half-creepy – the mystery lives breathing inside the sweetness.

this queer jewelry philosophy refuses what heteronormative society demands. the binary wants feminine OR masculine, nature OR city, sweet OR creepy. softedgez says fuck that. i take what seems opposite and fuse them – fluidity that expands, refuses categories, makes space for LGBTQIA+ expression, for everything in between and beyond. every piece is that fusion: forest energy flowing through lively streets, soft curves sharpened into edges, thrifted gemstones caught mid-transformation in soft solder.

the materials live this too. thrifted gemstones and pearls – once forgotten in people's basements. upcycling what others discard. rejecting untraceable supply chains. i make an effort to source european and american materials: fimo from germany, stainless rings from netherlands, soldering flux from czechia, soldering wire from the US. slow-made because mass production is ruining this planet.

this is handmade queer jewelry as resistance to what's happening in this world. for everyone open to exploring their uniqueness – every piece i make is completely unique and exists only once. just like you.
